We have been very fortunate to have the existence of internet these days as that just makes life so much easier for all of us. You can simply learn to speak Italian online without the hassle to go to Italy just to sign up for a language course. Of course, when we set foot to learn a language, we definitely want to learn from the best.
The Problem…
However, finding an Italian course online can be pretty challenging. Not that you can not find any course, but simply there is just too many of them. There are plenty of free Italian lessons and paid Italian language software as well.
But the one downside I find with both is that I did not find many that offer an effective way of learning Italian. Most of the techniques taught to master Italian seem to focus on having us, the student, memorize by heart how to speak. That is simply too difficult and too draining for a slow coach learner like me
Big tips to effectively learn Italian online
I do not know about you, but I noticed that I generally learn things the fastest when I find them fun and exciting. I feel it is crucial for you too, to find these key elements when learning an Italian course online.
1) You want to start off learning words that most relate to you (or words spoken in Italian that you want to know most). For instance, when I learn how to pronounce the popular pick up lines in Italian language it sends all the excitement in me!
Bella = beauty
I love you = Ti amo
(Just a few examples above ;))
2) You then want to get into the quick basic Italian phrases so to be able to converse with an Italian.
For instance, you want to learn how to say common greetings or numbers. Also, on the genders’ pronouncing. How do you say “He” “She” “They” “We” and “Us”?
Once you know these, you will not find any issues relating to other sentences (instead of memorizing each word).
3) This is a little more complex and the two mentioned above. But it is an absolute key to mastering speaking your Italian online.
You should learn to understand how the structures of Italian sentences are form so that you avoid directly translating them. This is where learners with English speaking mother tongue find most challenging.
4) Finally, you want to practice them as often as possible. I know, there may not be people around us to practice Italian with. However, I sometimes like to sing myself to an Italian music tune or simply catch an Italian movie online to do some good practice.
